My Description: cheap
one of the shoes came a little dirty and you could see the glue on both of them... not just glue on the edge but a bunch of it all over one of the shoes...
they are cheap but thats not something that every cheap shoes comes with when you buy them.

My Description: perfect for summer searsucker season

I found these shoes to be quite long (about 1/2 to a full size too long), a little narrow and with a pointy toe (rounded would have been better.) They are a slip on (do not think part of the product description?) and I had to cut the elastic band to be able to get my foot into the shoe comfortably. Today's men must have long, narrow feet to be able to wear these shoes. I get a better fit from a women's Champion 9/12 XW.

The shoe is actually a slip on since the tongue is attached via elastic to the shoe. It was very tight fitting until I cut the elastic. Once I did that this is a great fitting shoe.

Interesting development of the Champion

The Champion 'Seersucker' is a very interesting derivative of the mens 'Champion' line. Keds has improved the sole with different 'zones' of material (for improved wear or traction?), and have introduced an elastic gore under the tongue so one can wear the shoes with laces or, in keeping with current fashion, without. Another small difference is Keds adopting a 4-eyelet upper rather than 5. The shoe is right for length, but is still a bit narrow. Could these subtle changes be heralding a re-design of the classic white Champion for men? This can be alleviated by replacing the removable insole with a thinner one. Too bad though; the stock Keds insole provides superb support.
Finally, the seersucker uppper looks really neat; it has 'summer' written all over it. Now if I can just find a look that will go with it!
