When I saw a new version of the classic mens' Champion, I had to order a pair to see if it was any different. The biggest difference is a new outsole; it still has the 'zones' of the previous version, with the addition of a Keds 'blue label' set in the middle; a nice touch, really.
On the negative side, the shoe is still quite tight in the midfoot/ball of the foot area. This hasn't always been the case. The Champs with that silly 'tennis racquet' outsole fit just fine; I've always been puzzled why keds used a scotch less material in the midfoot area of the Champs after they went back to the 'calendar' outsole. My other disappointment was that while the website photo showed a new insole, my shoes came with the old yellow/white/blue insole.
So to summarize: if you like the recent champs, the newest design won't disappoint. If you've been unhappy with the fit of the more recent versions of the men's Champs, you'll get no relief here.
Finally, in closing, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll suggest again: Keds - the Champion CVO & Chukka - offer them in white leather. Just sayin'

I do Taoist Tai Chi, and have searched for suitable shoes as an alternative to stocking feet or bare feet. The construction of Keds is exactly what I want: a small amount of padding and a simple latex rubber sole solid enough to let me feel the floor but not too "grippy" so the moves are unrestricted.

I don't know if I got a bad pair, but after wearing them for a day, the minor imperfections of fit became major problems. One shoe pinches the toe from above, and the sole has bump underneath the ball of the foot making it awkward to walk in. The heels do not fit well, and kept rubbing the back of my heels with every step, making them raw uncomfortable to walk in.

A possible quick fix

Try removing the removable insole, and just get a thin flat insole (dr. scholl's) from the drugstore. This worked great for me, 'coz the current version of the Champion seems oddly tight in the area of the ball of the foot.
A pity, because the stock insole is really good quality, but this may be a 'work around' for you. Good luck!

I've always loved these sneakers but haven't purchased them in a long time. I was really excited when they arrived but when I put them on they were way too narrow and very uncomfortable on my feet. I checked for a wider size but one does not appear to be available so I'm painfully wearing them and hoping the canvas will stretch out a bit.

These are very solid shoes. I bought them in blue and they are a bright, good color. Very basic but attractive design and fit well.
I normally wear a 12 1/2 as my shoe size. I tried both the 13 and 12, went with the 12. It would be nice if they had half sizes because the 12 is a little narrow, but to be clear it still fits very well and I am very satisfied.

I bought a second pair of these shoes because I like the style so much, but as with the first pair, on my left foot the back of the shoe digs into my heel as I walk. Its usually temporary and after some wear, it goes away. But for right now it just hurts. Pretty much every step is uncomfortable. I took off my shoes after work and my left heel had apparently been bleeding. Its just kind of annoying. If there's any way Keds could make the back of this shoe less rigid, maybe this wouldn't happen?
Regardless I will continue to wear them, just thought I'd comment
